Buddy Guy, a true legend in the music industry, will be bringing the blues to The Grand Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Casino on Friday June 20. It’s a chance to hear one of the most influential blues artists in history perform live.
The recipient of a 2015 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Guy’s career spans over 50 years with just as many albums released. Career highlights include eight Grammy Awards, 37 Blues Music Awards, Kennedy Center Honors, NARM Chairman’s Award for Sustained Creative Achievement, Billboard Music Awards’ Century Award for distinguished artistic development, Presidential National Medal of Arts, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Guy’s 2018 album, “The Blues is Alive and Well”, won the Grammy Award for Best traditional Blues Album. In 2022 he released another album “The Blues Don’t Lie.”
Guy has stayed current in the blues music scene and proves that age makes no difference as long as you can still play and perform at a level that brings in an audience. That is something that Buddy Guy never has any problem doing. He has a full schedule of concerts across the country.
Buddy Guy is one of the most recognizable names in blues and has seen many players come and go, but at 87 he is still going strong. If you get the chance to attend one of what may be his last concert tour don’t hesitate.
