For the three years the event has drawn crowds of automobile lovers to admire some of the most unique and exotic automobiles and motorcycles ever produced

This year well-known supporter of legendary classic car events, A. Lange & Söhne is now also entering into a partnership with a major automobile show in the US for the first time. From this year on, the eminent watch manufactory from Glashütte in Saxony, Germany, is to be title sponsor of The Audrain Concours d’Elegance at The Breakers in Newport, Rhode Island during the Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week.

Newport’s extensive automotive history dates back as early as the Gilded Age. The first American car circuit race was held nearby and the first Vanderbilt Cup trophy was given in a race on September 6, 1900 in Newport. Willie K.Vanderbilt and some of his closest friends traveled to the nearby horse track to race their newly-imported automobiles. Little did they realize the impact their racing exploits would have on American racing culture.

With its rich motoring history, Newport is a natural destination for a premier Concours & Motor Week. Beautiful, historic mansions, landmark commercial buildings and the seemingly endless Atlantic Ocean provide the most elegant of backdrops. The Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week is a celebration of the automobile, uniting enthusiasts from around the world.
