November 19, 2025 Sting and his bandmates Dominic Miller guitar and Chris Maas on Drums took his 3.0 tour to Mohegan Sun. It was the purest Sting with only himself on bass and vocals. There were no extra props just a great band playing for an enthusiastic audience in the purest fashion.

This was fine music and Sting showed that you don’t have to bring a giant production with stage props and multiple instruments to put on a fantastic show for the packed Mohegan Sun Arena. The audience was humming when he took the stage and Sting did not disappoint. He launched straight into “Message In A Bottle” followed by I Wrote Your Name,” then “If I ever Lose My Faith In You.”

The evening was full of well known songs from the past few decades. They included some songs from his time with the award-winning band The Police as well as his solo released tracks.

The British singer born Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, known to most as Sting, changed to his stage name early on and has never looked back. He came from modest means but once he began playing with the band, he seemed destined for worldwide fame.

From 1978 with their debut album ‘Outlandos d’Amour’ until the present day Sting has remained a constant in the music industry. Though he began as a jazz musician with The Police he turned to the more profitable audience attracting rock genre. Combining his time with The Police and his solo career he has racked up received numerous accolades worldwide. The band released five landmark albums, earned multiple Grammys and British Music Awards, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.

After going solo Sting, with one of music’s most easily recognizable voices that gives him instant airplay when he releases new music you can recognize him always tell it’s Sting. His many talents and distinctive sound helped him rack up 11 additional Grammy Awards, an Emmy, a Golden Globe and four Oscar nominations. He’s a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, he has also received the Kennedy Center Honors, the Polar Music Prize, and several honorary doctorates. In his career Sting has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide once The Police’s first album hit his career skyrocket and has lasted decades. I see no indication by the sold out house last night that he will fade out anytime soon.

Holding true to his roots a Sting concert includes many of the songs he wrote while with The Police but also added other he’s written in the years since. The audience knew the words to virtually every song and sang out with the band,

If you get a chance to take in a show on this Sting 3.0 tour don’t hesitate. I’m sure the tickets will go quickly, and you’ll be happy you saw him while you can.
