The inaugural New England Concours d’Elegance took place on October 27, 2024 at the Polo Club in Farmington on a beautiful fall day. It started with a bit of a chill to the air and a little frost on the pumpkins and cars.
As the day progressed, it quickly warmed up and turned out to be a wonderful day for a car show. There were vintage cars of both American and European pedigree all about the polo grounds.

There was a rare pickup that could transition from road to snow with its unique tracks and ski attachments, allowing it to climb a snowy road like a snowmobile on steroids.

Many spent the day admiring the entire array of vehicles before the judging was announced in the afternoon. The selection of vehicles was comprehensive and included classics from many various auto makers to new model ultra high end new models. There was something to admire for all tastes.
Speaking of taste, there were also a few food trucks offering coffee and breakfast treats in the morning, and as the day progressed, trucks offered lunch, allowing folks to enjoy the entire day without having to leave the grounds.

On the grass and on the lot were both classic and modern exotics from Jaguars and Mercedes to Bugatti

Unique and rare were the words of the day. This was the inaugural New England Concours’ d’Elegance at the Farmington Polo Club grounds. It was an enjoyable day with beautiful autumn weather and a chance to admire beautifully maintained autos and speak with the owners about the details of each entry.

I look forward to coming back next year to see what the New England Concours’ entries are in store for automobile enthusiasts. They picked a wonderful time of year in Connecticut for the backdrop to these amazing cars and trucks. It’s a beautiful setting and the weather in the fall couldn’t have been better.
The Hometown Foundation and Hemmings.com sponsored the event. This event not only provides an enjoyable day outside, enjoying a fall day, but the proceeds also help others and give back to the community and many worthwhile organizations throughout Connecticut.
