The Best of Show Concours de Sport was awarded to the 1965 Ford GT40 Mk I, displayed by Benjamin Levy from Andover, Massachusetts. This Ford GT40, chassis number P/1030, never raced and remains one of the most original GT40s in existence. The car was the focus of a famous Ford ad campaign in era and was later used by Ford as design inspiration for the Ford GT built in 2005 and 2006.
The Concours de Sport event on Saturday showcased the racing and sport models of today and historic sports models of Automobiles and Motorcycles.
There was a myriad of vehicles to suit the taste of all automobile enthusiasts.
The were American and foreign autos from Mclarins to Corvettes and every model in between. This was the day for sport and racing cars. Sunday was inclusive of both types majoring heavily on the early 1900’s through 1950’s. Both foreign and domestic were featured both days.
This event was part of the weekend long Concours which continued on Sunday with the Concours d’Elegance showing off autos that you will probably never see on the street and brought in special for this event from collections of high-end autos all over the country.
