Jim Messina
Infinity Hall, Hartford, CT
April 20, 2023
Jim Messina took to the stage at the Infinity Hall and once again proved what a talented and long-standing artist he is by giving the appreciative crowd a memorable night of music.
Messina and his band rocked the Infinity Hall for two sets of Messina’s hits from his decades of involvement with some of the most well-known bands in rock and folk. His music has stood the test of time from his days with Buffalo Springfield, Poco, Loggins and Messina and his own history of solo music spanning decades. Many of us spend our youths and decades since listening to so many of his songs it is hard to think of a time we didn’t hear his music. During all this time Messina has made sure he stayed in our ears by radio, LP’s, CD’s and all other means of music sharing. He has continued to play concerts and still keep his voice sharp and his band and instruments well in tune.
Messina and his band members Ben King on bass, Steve Nieves on percussion, saxophone, woodwinds, Jim Frazier on keyboard and Jack Bruno on drums. A group of musicians that Messina has built into a cohesive and wonderfully talented band who brought all their best to the Infinity Hall. The audience was treated to a fantastic night of music and it showed. The crowd reciprocated with applause and a few standing ovations.
Messina hosted a Q&A session after the concert offering the concert attendees a chance to stay and ask questions and speak with Messina.
As always Jim Messina and his band put on a performance worth taking the time to go and see if you get the chance.
